View Full Version : The Current State of the WWE

It seems like the current WWE is on a "flash in the pan" run. They will make people main eventers and then bam they are on the mid card as soon as their run is over. For example, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, The Undertaker (that's a different story), Chris Benoit, etc. All these guys were great main eventers, but failure in keeping these guys up top is causing the loss of great main eventers who wouldn't "drop the ball" and having to pull a flash in the pan up top. This eventually hurts the WWE because once the flash is done, in the people's eyes. They have to keep going through superstar after superstar and great athletes and/or entertainers who should be on top end up being left at the bottom (Charlie Haas, Shelton Benjamin, Ken Kennedy, although his time is looking good, Christian, before he left, etc.). I would like to know other people's views on this situation. Does anyone feel the same I do? Or does anyone feel like I'm being too critical? By the way these flashes in the pan also prove to cause ratings to rise and/or fall.

I couldn't agree more. The only person recently who has defied this is Cena, but that's only because pre-pubescent children buy his gear.

Yeah, i also liked him in his early thugish days. I saw him live in London and he was great. It all started going down hill for him when he moved to Raw.

i think Cenas decent enough....hes an entertainer...so you got to take what he does at that perspective, hes gonna entertain you using physoclogy...his moveset is alot to be desired...but on the oppisite end of the spectrum, you have chris beniot, a man with all the moves and talent in the world......no entertaining skills or mic skills...so really its ok to have someone like cena as long as you got pure wrestlers to balance it out.

edit: dude above me...seriously sort out your language, its fine and all on MSN but some of us just don't appricate it....it makes it hard to take you seriously...which in the end hurts you.
