1) Whats your recommended FTP software?
- You don't need ftp software to download. You will be provided http access to download but, you'll have your own logins with only 1 ip allowed. If you are asking on general terms, I use WS_FTP Pro.

2) How do you use the FTP software?
- Still need answer?? It is easy to use, just download and play around.

3) Can you post that software for me at some time?
- Still want?? You can get some from download.com

LOL! As there aren't many requests for the private server spots [I know Venom and City Rebel will probably be 2 more, at least] yet, I do have an idea... How about reserving 3 to 5 spots as prizes for the competitions someone suggested in another thread? The winner[s] would get access [under the same conditions] for a full month, until the new winners are chosen. If they already have access, maybe they could request certain media uploaded to the private server.

A few more questions.

1) Would my private server space have my own forum preinstalled to mess around with since it would help me out being a dial up user and not being able to use FTP yet?

2) Will I be able to upload via browser instead of FTP?

3) Could you PM me my server space's URL and my password ASAP, so that I could upload stuff after I've finished downloading Zube's from AD?

4) Am I allowed to make my own website to add to my webspace?

5) I'm a mod on Wrestlement, and I don't have a proper Debit Card, are those valid enough reasons for you to give me the space for free?

- Ding Dong! Seems you are misunderstanding the offer. Well, the offer is - people will be provided paid server downloads (just downloads).
Though, I might be able to provide you some space to make a webb-syte.

- FTP is faster than browser upload. There are various browser based ftp emulators.

- Let's see, what can be done. As, I am starting studies again so, getting less and less of time.

- If I am able to provide you space for website you may do that.
But, I would re-clarify the offer. You will get http download access for just downloading.

Can't you download on ftp??? I use a download manager to make sure it resumes if I get disconnected, and it works great...

I won't be downloading many files that big, but if it's something I really want and can't get any smaller, I'll be able to manage:D ! Aren't there going to be some matches and such that won't be 700 MB? Either way, thank you for providing a fast server to download from! 700 MB off a free server wouldn't be any fun, lol!

Well, it would contain files above 350mb only and usually full cds. All atleast vcd quality. Sorry, that it won't be useful for you at the moment but, you too should consider upgrading to broadband.

It will be useful, as sometimes I do want something in good quality [350 MB is manageable] but couldn't get it in reasonable time off of a free server. There is a HUGE difference in speed, at least for me. This sounds especially good for the rarer files, and classic shows! At least I will know they'll actually be there a whole month, and not removed when I'm at 90 percent or something, lol!

I can't because Cable based broadband services are too expensive, and I don't have a ADSL phone line to qualify for cheap broadband.

Another question:

Will we be able to upload single mp3 files on the server, because I don't upload anything above 35mb or upload more than 10mb per file?

Also will we be able to provide crap quality videos for dial-up users like myself because I strictly don't download anything over my 35mb limit because any file above that slows my browsing speed down, and if I browse when my speed goes down my download always cuts off.

An ASDL line can get you cheap broardband but it means more expensive phone calls though, and thats a big problem in my household.

Yes, I would like some upload space for single themes and stuff to post here at Wrestlement, I'm not sure on weather I want to still make a website though, because it would take a lot of time and effort to make a revemped cyclone 2k website a secess like the old one was.

The forum idea was to have a little mini board to go with the revamped website, but we have Wrestlement so we don't really need another forum.

and I don't think your phone lines will be busy like dialup and trust me, it'll be damn cheaper than dialup calls. It'll save your time and money.

The size of the file doesn't affect the speed it downloads at, just how long it takes. That is mostly determined by the server. I download files of any size, but I ALWAYS use a download manager. If you want to surf while downloading [I almost always can't] just select download with 1 thread. Usually I just pause the download until I'm done surfing, and use all 10. It also resumes if you get disconnected from the Internet or shut down to wait for a call.

If Intermission wants I'll try and get someone to do it, but I really couldn't ask Jonathan to do it for us here. He's working really hard to make sure we get all shows and PPV's in .wmv, so it would be asking a lot for him to upload the same file again... Don't worry, I have someone in mind :D ! Wouldn't want to ask just for myself though.
