Bond Car Takes Bath
What in the world is James Bond going to do for wheels now that his Aston Martin DBS has gone for a swim in Lake Garda in northern Italy? A stunt driver taking the car to the set of “Quantum of Solace,” the new 007 film starring Daniel Craig, lost control of the vehicle early Saturday morning and it went flying into the lake, Agence France-Presse reported, citing the Italian news agency ANSA. The Associated Press reported heavy rain at the time. The unidentified driver escaped with minor bruises, a report said, and Sky Italia television later showed the car — the only one available for filming — being winched out of the water, right. The film is scheduled to be released late this year.

James Bond film car plunges into lake in northern Italy; driver slightly injured
ROME -- The car being used in the latest James Bond film plunged into a lake in northern Italy while being driven to the set.
Producers say the driver of the Aston Martin was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. They say James Bond's iconic car was being delivered to the filming unit in heavy rain on Saturday morning when it went off the road and plunged into Lake Garda.
Italian state TV has shown footage of the smashed, black car being hoisted out of the water.
"Quantum of Solace" is the newest film in the 007 series. It stars Daniel Craig and is due for release later this year.
