Oxyshare?

Sorry if this is the wrong section, but wasn't sure where else to post this. I am new to using Oxyshare, and I cannot get the hang of it. I can get to the site and when I click on a file is says "Download the file" then it says how many times dlded, file name, size etc. Except it NEVER loads the dld. So I am sitting there on the screen and nothing happens. Would this be my firewall? or something I am not doing on the site? thnx for any help

Which P2P network does Oxyshare run on?

If it's an upload service like RapidSharing I advise everybody not to use it anymore because it will cause harm to your computer if you turn firewall off.

Sometimes gmail also has problems with firewall on. But, works fine while shutting the firewall. It doesn't mean gmail is bad!

Gmail works fine with me with it on, and yes shutting the Firewall is very bad for your system and makes your computer run slow, and thats what you need to realise, and thats also why I am very agianst you using those servers.

Man! Sometimes, the system or internet configuration clashes with a website's settings so, you might need to edit firewall settings. I too have firewall and I don't need to disable it. It is not the fault of the site and even not your system. It is just config clash.

Thank you cyclone. I finally figured it out, I never noticed the dld here next to the google ads. It's tricky if you don't know what you are looking for. Thanks again :)

It is same with up-file. Even, I didn't notice it until someone helped me in that! So, I guessed it is same with oxy and it was! They have put finance topics in their pages as these are the highest paid terms for google ads. Cunning people!
