can you play it as good as them ?

CityRebel

I play Bass, which is completely different than guitar, but I love to play anything by Lynyrd Skynyrd, and the blues. Yeah, I know, odd combination. Lynyrd I like to play because it's easier for me to play and sing on it, and blues because you can add your own riffs and really have fun with it.

CityRebel

Been in four. Last one I was in was at church and they kicked me out for smoking. The funny thing is that my replacement smokes too! Only difference is that he is 41, I'm 18.

CityRebel

They felt like it would lead to "other" things, seeing as I was the wild child out of the youth group. I was the only one that was involved in drugs and not a virgin (Before I started going to church) out of the whole group, which is why I guess they got that assumption. Oh well, made me realize alot of things when that happened. Oh yeah, I can't forget Punk. I don't play it, but I enjoy the energy and the feel of it when I'm singing. I guess you would say I'm a singer first, bass player second.

There you go, if you can't quit smoking don't smoke at church it's that simple.

hmmm im getting along ok at the moment, but when i was trying out the guitars in the shops ....they were perfect, but since it cost a bit more(didnt know about the bargaining) and they didnt have it in black i decided to get mine online.....obviously with the disadvantage of not being able to play it...it came fine but one thing they really pisses me off is the thing you put the lead in...is fiddily and loose, and for al guitar expects i was wondering if i could just tighten it...or should i send it back...get my money back and buy a new guitar?(preferrably the one i saw at the shop)

You could do one of several things.

1) Take it too a shop or specialist and ask them to get it fixed

2) Or tighten the screws with a screwdriver.

Only do the first if you fail. BTW where are you from in London Mish?

intermission
08-02-2006, 04:20 PM
north....but i took the guitar back because i couldnt be bothered to pay for it anymore , hopefully they dont send it back!! but ive given up on the instruments just not for me...plus i need money for gigage!

Colonel_Rule
08-02-2006, 04:26 PM
No man. You haven't!!!!!! It takes me ages to be good at it, you just have to practise. You should have just bought a guitar book and learnt about chords and that sort of stuff then it would be easy to learn other stuff. That's a shame man.

As for money, just rob a news agent or two, there's plenty around that area and the owners can't speak English and even if they could they are full of Polish assylum seekers which would get them in more trouble.

intermission

....im still geting an accoustic eventually...just the electric was too much for my present time........atm , i want tickets to mcr, taking back sunday, killswitch engage, bfmv and panic at the disco and the guitar was draining my funds!!!

Colonel_Rule
08-02-2006, 04:30 PM
Fair enough then.

intermission
08-02-2006, 04:31 PM
they will probably send it back anyway...as its easily fixed i suppose but at least thats one week i wouldnt have to pay for and could fuel my mcr gig...oh if i dont get a ticket i will kill someone or more emo....myself:D

Colonel_Rule
08-02-2006, 04:38 PM
If you really want to get rid of it (If they send it back) flog it on eBay, you won't get all of your cash back but you'll get some back.

intermission
08-02-2006, 04:41 PM
lol nah i want it like and i would pay for it but i just would rather not have it now but if i get it now so be it ,i would get it eventually in the future anyway

odd question, but can any of you play guitar, with the guitar behind your necks...atreyu did it for the duo during ''lip gloss and black'' and i was mighty impressed, but i dunno if its easy or its hard and they made it look easy.

Hey, cool to see that there are so many guitar players in here. I'm also playing for about 5 years or so. I even were in a band, but I did the vocals. Maybe I'm going to upload some of our stuff, if our drummer can give me the videos from our gigs.
